DMCA Notice and Takedown Policy

Thriftwisely respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (the “DMCA”), we will respond promptly to claims of copyright infringement that are reported to our designated agent identified below.

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act on behalf of one, and you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement on Thriftwisely, please submit a written DMCA notice to our designated agent at contact@yoursite.com.

Information Required in Your Notice

To be effective, your written notification must include the following information:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, including the URL or specific location on our website where the material is located.
  • Your contact information, including your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.

Our Takedown Process

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, Thriftwisely will:

  • Review the notice to ensure it contains all required information.
  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material in a timely manner.
  • Make a reasonable effort to notify the user who posted the material, if applicable.
  • Take appropriate action against repeat infringers, including terminating accounts where necessary.

Counter-Notification

If you believe that material you posted was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification to our designated agent at contact@yoursite.com. Your counter-notification must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that has been removed and the location where it appeared before it was removed.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original DMCA notice.

Repeat Infringers

Thriftwisely maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the access of users who are repeat infringers of intellectual property rights.
